CU Society Presents: Hem by Hand with Edgington Studio
Join CU Society on Tuesday, July 28 from 6-8:30pm in Wheeling for a FREE Hem-by-Hand workshop presented by Edgington Studio. In addition to learning a new skill, you’ll get to hear from Edgington Studio owner Emily Rouse about her work, how she’s leveraged innovation for her Wheeling-based business, and the importance of sewing as a skill today.
You’ll also learn more about CU Society, a new organization in West Virginia focused on bringing people together and preparing communities for the future.
No sewing machine, no problem! Learn how to hem pants with hand-sewing. This workshop will walk you through the techniques needed to measure, cut, and hand-sew pants for a proper hem. All materials will be provided, but you can bring your own pair of pants to work on at the end! Ages 15+. Registration required.
