Edgington Studio is a sewing company, named after its location on Edgington Lane in Wheeling, West Virginia. We are dedicated to building a respected cut-and-sew industry in the United States by investing in our sewing professionals, community, and clients. Through trusted relationships and education, we work to ensure sewing remains a valued, accessible, and empowering craft.
Our services bring this mission to life through educational sewing programs and professional cut-and-sew services. Whether you're learning to sew for the first time, building on existing skills, prefer to practice independently, or create alongside a group, Edgington Studio has a learning pathway for you. What is the difference between a class and a workshop?
Sewing class:
Capacity of 1-4 people and reserved just for you/your group
Held at Edgington Studio
Flexible booking times to best fit your schedule

What can you make for me?
Our primary focus is apparel made from start to finish. This can be developing a one-of-a-kind piece or an entire collection produced in small runs. Never hesitate to reach out with your idea!
Do you do alterations?
We accept alterations as time allows between our production runs. Please take into consideration that turnaround time usually starts at two weeks when we do take on an alteration. We do not alter homecoming/prom or bridal gowns. Let us know what you need and we will see how we can help!
What is the minimum order quantity? Can you make one-of-a-kind pieces?
We have no minimums! We specialize in small production runs under 50 units per style and one-of-a-kind pieces. Best of all, unlike our competitors, we do not charge added fees for lower quantities! Our goal is to help you get the garments you need, without sitting on a bunch of inventory.
Do you only serve clients in West Virginia?
Not by a long shot! We are proud to serve our customers nationwide, from sea to shining sea, including (but not limited to) clients in:

Los Angeles, California
Atlanta, Georgia
Columbus, Ohio
Richmond, Virginia
And many more!
Distance is no problem for us, as we are able to communicate through email and video calls, thus allowing us to meet your needs no matter where you are. We manufacture here and serve the entire USA, doesn’t get more American than that!
What are your prices?
We want to make sure we are clear with the pricing for your development, production, and custom pieces from the beginning, so you can plan. We are unable to provide “ballpark pricing” for garment categories solely based off of a conversation, as your version of a piece may not be be the same thing we think of for a piece. So, we start with a design consultation and both parties can fill out our mutual NDA before the discussion. In order to outline pricing for your garment’s development, we need to thoroughly understand what you are envisioning - all of the fabrications, stitches, etc. This can come in many forms, such as reference pictures, a prototype you pieced together, or a tech pack. Not only is this important for pricing, but also to make sure our machine capabilities are a match for your design. Once we know what your piece will entail, we provide a Development Scope and later, a Production Scope, so that you have a roadmap of pricing catered specifically for your project at the very start. Do I need to provide my own fabric and notions?
While you are free to provide us with your materials of choice (you can even have them shipped directly to us to save you money), we can also source fabric and notions for you as part of the development process. We’re here to make the design and production process easier for you, including material selection!
